In Memoriam: Resolution in Honor of Dennis Paul Dyrud
Whereas, the Marina Democratic Club and the Marina community lost a generous, forward-thinking and valued community member on July 31, 2024, with the passing of Dennis Paul Dyrud; and
Whereas, Dennis Paul Dyrud contributed his time, intelligence, compassion and support to many progressive causes both locally, regionally and nationally; and
Whereas, Dennis Paul Dyrud served not only his community but also served his country with his military service wherein he suffered grave injury; and
Whereas, Dennis Paul Dyrud served faithfully as a Chapter Officer for the labor organization, National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association in Marina, Chapter 1496; and
Whereas, Dennis Paul Dyrud was a member of the Marina Democratic Club for sixteen years and served faithfully as an Executive Board Member for twelve years; and
Whereas, Dennis Paul Dyrud’s kindness, sense of humor and above all, human decency enriched those fortunate enough to have known him,
Now, Therefore Be It Resolved, that the Marina Democratic Club honors the memory of Dennis Paul Dyrud and extends its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.
