Our Mission & Purpose
The Marina Democratic Club is officially chartered by the Monterey County Democratic Central Committee (MCDCC) and recognized by the California Democratic Party.
Our objective is to support the principles and policies of the Democratic Party, encourage active citizenship, vet and endorse progressive candidates for local office, and advocate for civic policies that benefit working families and protect our coastal environment.

What Guides Our Work
🌊 Groundwater & Coastal Protection
Protecting the Salinas Valley groundwater basin from saltwater intrusion and opposing unpermitted extraction for regional desal projects.
🏡 Inclusive Housing & Former Fort Ord
Advocating for high percentages of deed-restricted affordable housing in all new developments and protecting renters from unfair displacement.
🏫 Public Education & Community Youth
Supporting our public school teachers, library programs, and youth recreational opportunities in Marina.
🗳️ Clean Elections & Civic Transparency
Educating voters through non-partisan ballot measure forums, open candidate debates, and grassroots voter registration.
Club Bylaws & Governance
Our club operates under democratically adopted bylaws governing officer elections, candidate endorsement voting, standing committees, and membership voting rights.

Quarterly Meetings & Access
Our general membership meetings are held quarterly online via Zoom. Meeting schedules, guest speaker lineups, and any special in-person election forums are sent to all members in advance and published on our Events page.
